Orders, Shipping & Tracking
How do I check the status of my order?
The fastest way is through your Golden Lighting Customer Hub, accessed by clicking the person icon at the top-right of our site. You can also use the tracking link in your shipping confirmation email. If you still have questions, please contact Customer Care with your order number.
Where can I find my tracking number?
As soon as your order ships, we’ll email you a shipping confirmation with carrier and tracking details. You’ll also see tracking information inside your Customer Hub under Orders (use the person icon in the top-right corner of our site). If you don’t see the email, check your promotions or spam folders, then reach out to Customer Care and we’ll resend it.
Where do you ship and how much is shipping?
We currently ship within the United States. Many consumer orders over a set merchandise subtotal qualify for free standard ground shipping within the contiguous U.S.; oversized or special shipments may have additional freight charges that will be shown at checkout before you place your order. For the latest details, please review our Shipping, Returns & Exchanges policy.
Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?
We start processing orders quickly, so changes and cancellations are time-sensitive. If you need to update an address, item, or cancel an order, please contact Customer Care as soon as possible with your order number. Once an order has shipped, standard return options apply.
Returns, Exchanges & Warranty
What is your return policy?
Most new, uninstalled fixtures in their original packaging are eligible for return or exchange within a defined window, subject to inspection and our full policy terms. Hard-wired fixtures generally must not have been installed, and return shipping and restocking fees may apply, especially on oversized, custom, or clearance products. All returns require a Return Goods Authorization (RGA) issued by Golden Lighting or your original place of purchase.
For complete details, please see our Returns & Exchanges policy before sending anything back.
What should I do if my order arrives damaged or with missing parts?
Please inspect your shipment as soon as it arrives. If you notice visible or concealed damage, missing parts, or a defect:
- Keep all original packaging and packing materials.
- Take clear photos of the box, packing material, and product.
- Contact the place of purchase right away (GoldenLighting.com, Golden Lighting Outlet, or an authorized retailer) with your order number, fixture SKU, and photos.
They will work directly with our Customer Service team to arrange replacement parts or the best resolution under our returns and warranty policies.
What does the Golden Lighting warranty cover?
Golden Lighting fixtures are backed by a limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. Warranty length and coverage can vary by product type; for example, integrated LED components and outdoor finishes may have specific or extended terms. Damage from improper installation, misuse, or modifications is not covered. To review coverage and how to file a claim, please visit our Warranty page or contact Customer Care with your order information and photos of the issue.
Products, Installation & Safety
Can I install my new fixture myself?
Some customers are comfortable swapping out existing fixtures themselves, while others prefer to hire a licensed electrician—especially for new wiring, heavy chandeliers, or complex installs. Whatever you choose, always shut power off at the breaker and follow the installation instructions included with your fixture. Our Guides & Support page also provides basic installation and dimming tips.
Where can I find installation instructions?
Each fixture ships with printed instructions in the box. For additional guidance and helpful tips, visit our Guides & Support page and look for the Installation & Dimming sections.
How do I choose the right size and hanging height?
Correct scale is key to a balanced room. As a quick rule of thumb, for chandeliers you can add your room’s length and width (in feet) to get an approximate fixture diameter in inches. For dining tables and kitchen islands, most fixtures look best hung about 30–36" above the tabletop or counter. In entries and walkways, aim for roughly 7 ft of clearance from the floor to the bottom of the fixture. For more examples, room-specific guidelines, and charts, see our Size & Hanging Height guide.
Are your fixtures safe for bathrooms and outdoor spaces?
Always check the rating on the product page:
- Damp-rated fixtures are suitable for areas with moisture and humidity but no direct water spray, such as most bathrooms (not inside the shower) or covered porches.
- Wet-rated fixtures are built to handle direct rain and weather exposure and are best for open outdoor locations.
Match the fixture’s rating to your space, and when in doubt—especially in coastal or high-exposure areas—choose wet-rated fixtures or consult a lighting professional.
Bulbs, Dimming & Light Quality
Which bulbs do you recommend with Golden fixtures?
For most homes we recommend dimmable LED bulbs with:
- CRI 90+ for more accurate color rendering.
- 2700–3000K warm white for living, dining, and bedrooms.
- 3000–3500K for a slightly crisper feel in kitchens and workspaces.
Always check each product page for socket type and maximum wattage, then use our Bulb & Lumen Guide for room-by-room brightness recommendations.
Are Golden fixtures dimmable?
Many Golden fixtures are dimmable when paired with dimmable bulbs and a compatible LED-rated dimmer. Our Guides cover the basics, including the difference between TRIAC/forward-phase and ELV/reverse-phase dimmers and how to fine-tune low-end trim to avoid flicker. If you’re unsure which dimmer to use with a specific fixture, please contact Customer Care with the product SKU and bulb type.
How bright should my room be?
Brightness depends on room size and how the space is used, but our Bulb & Lumen Guide gives helpful starting points such as:
- Kitchen pendants: approximately 450–800 lumens per pendant.
- Dining chandeliers: about 3,000–4,000 lumens total.
- Bath vanities: roughly 1,500–3,000 lumens total, depending on size.
Use these as a baseline, then fine-tune with dimmers and layered lighting.

Care, Maintenance & Parts
How do I clean and care for my fixture?
Regular, gentle care keeps your fixtures looking their best:
- Turn power off and allow bulbs to cool before cleaning.
- Dust routinely with a soft microfiber cloth.
- Spray cleaner onto the cloth, not directly at the fixture or sockets.
- Avoid ammonia, bleach, abrasives, and harsh metal polishes, especially on lacquered or matte finishes.
For finish-specific tips, see our care guidance in the Guides & Support section.
Do you offer replacement glass, shades, or extra rods/chain?
In many cases, yes. Replacement glass, shades, rods, chains, and some accessories can be ordered through your original place of purchase or an authorized retailer. If you purchased directly from GoldenLighting.com or Golden Lighting Outlet, please contact Customer Care with your order number and fixture SKU and we’ll review available options.
